Here are a few tips for Mehu-Liisa juicer users when they are juicing strawberries.

1. No need to hull! Just rinse to remove any dirt and place in the fruit basket.
2. Layer berries with sugar if you like to sweeten while you juice.
3. Freeze your berries in quart bags. Later in the season, place a frozen block or two of strawberries (or any other berry you have frozen) on top of apples, peaches, pears or white grapes to make a wonderful juice blend.
4. When drawing off the juice, you can put it through double cheese cloth for an absolutely seed free juice. Even though most seeds are left in the pulp, with berries as small as strawberries and raspberries a few may get through and this is a way to assure seedless juice.
5. later in the season, make jelly with the juice! or syrup:

Berry Syrup
1 cup juice to 1 cup sugar
bring to boil slowly, let boil 5 mins. (no more or it will crystallize)
let cool a bit, pour into sterile jar, store in fridge

Makes great drinks mixed with seltzer or mineral water. Try it in your favorite cocktail recipe!
