Reply with quote | #1 | The last time I filled my jars with juice, I made a big sticky mess. Is there an easy way to fill the jars? __________________ Georgia Gal |

Reply with quote | #2 | I admit that the hose assembly is not the best design. Here are my tips for ease of filling:
1. I use a sturdy, heat resistant plastic pitcher to hold the hot jars. Or, a deeper sauce pan with good handle for holding. 2. I wear a thin cloth glove to manipulate the clamp on the hose to protect against steam burns. 3. I use canning tongs to pull the jars from the oven and then to place them on the counter after filling. 4. when done filling jars, push the clamp down so that the hose is deeper in the clamps vice and then release and hang the clip from one of the handles on the juice kettle. It is important that the hose is closed so steam can build up a little pressure in the juicer and not escape through the hose before the juice is deep enough to plug it up.
Let me know if this helps. Daniel
