Reply with quote | #1 | I don't usually remove my drain tube from the juicer as it is difficult to do and not really necessary to clean effectively. Also, removing the tube often may unnecessarily stress the material. However, if you really want to get the tube off then follow these steps:
- after draining juice and while juicer is still warm - apply small amount of vegetable oil (do not use mineral as it will degrade the tube) to the area between end of tube and juice kettle - gently work the tube to allow oil to penetrate between hose and spout - wait awhile and then gently work tube off spout -if tube is stubborn then you can pour vegetable down tube as well to work it in from both sides of where it attaches to the spout
If taking the hose off is to be done after every processing then apply a small amount of vegetable oil to the spout before replacing the tube.
There you go!
